How to access Run As Accounts from within an Add-in

I want to access a REST service from within an Add-In. Is there a way to retrieve the credentials from the Run As Accounts to authenticate with the REST service?

I'm not sure. I'll forward this on to our VMM guys and get back to you.

Unfortunately there is no way to retrieve the credentials that are stored in a VMM RunAs Account as they are only meant to be used by the VMM Server to execute tasks on behalf of a particular account. If we were to allow you to retrieve those credentials, it would imply some security risks that we aren't comfortable with. As inconvenient as it may be, the best option is just to ask the user for the credentials that you need to access the REST service. You could possibly find a safe way to hold on to those credentials for later use (lthe Windows Credential Management API would be a good place to start) so that you don't need to ask for them in each UI session.
